Yes, I have actually left books for others to find and read and pass along. It is a great way to clean out your home library and encourage others to try a new book. My friends and I are starting our own crossing with children's books. Each week we take a load of kids' books to the bus station and homeless shelter. We hope that it will not only improve the reading skills of underpriviledged kids but will give them an escape from the hard world they live in.

I'm a member and think it's a very fun idea. I would love to know where "my" books go after I give them away. (I can't possibly keep every book I buy.)
It's kind of disappointing though. I keep releasing books, but very few wind up being "found." I'm guessing most people don't take the time to go online and log them.
