at what age should girls start wearing makeup?

Whenever the girl feels comfortable & wants to wear makeup. I think anywhere from 13-15. I am 14 now, but I only wear a little bit of makeup. ( clear mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss)

Depends on the girl. I'm 13 and i wear light eyeshadow for parties, and well of course cover up when necessary!!! My eyelashes are too dark for mascara but i dont think mom would let me even if i wanted to wear it. Oh yeah and sometimes some blush to smooth out sunburn, but only if im going somewhere. I dont usually wear anything unless there is something going on, unless i have a face disaster. But i say nothing too "made up" until 14 or 15.

Probably a good guideline is when you are a freshman in high school. When you start out go to a department store or Sephora and they will do a mini makeover for you. That way you can learn the proper way to apply.

You want people to notice YOU and not your makeup so keep it natural for everyday wear.

It's a Grey area. My 4 year old niece was in a dance recital she had blush and mascara on. She looked like a doll. They also teach you the importance of expression and make-up in dance. For teenage girls I don't think age matters, its how much that matters. Girls can be taught at a 10 how to apply light make-up that looks appropriate. Light lip glosses and shimmery shadows. Let them play. When they hit the teens they'll know less is more.

When you hit highschool. Then you could wear it at a regular basis. Any age before 14 is kind of stupid. Unless its for an occasion.
