It is hard to know. I wouldn't trust him though. You know, 'once a cheater, always a cheater.'

I don't doubt that it is possible for a married man to love a single woman--we often don't choose who we love, it just happens.
HOWEVER.
The fact that he would TELL her, makes him scum, because a married man has no business saying that. It puts the single woman in an awkward predicament (which you don't do if you love someone, right?) and also shows his lack of respect for the vows he has taken (which is NOT a good sign of future fidelity).
If he truly loved someone other than his wife & wanted something to come of it, he would first divorce his wife and THEN proclaim his love for the other woman. There is a way to do this with honor & dignity--you end one relationship BEFORE you start another.
Peace & Good Luck.

It's very unlikely. Who he loves is himself. If he tells you he loves you, he is being unfaithful to his wife. He is lying to her, so what makes you think he's telling you the truth. The very relationship he is trying to set up is a lie. My advice is run away from a man like this as far and fast as you can. Everybody loses and everybody is hurt and if there are kids involved then the single woman bears responsibility with the man for their hurt, which is the worst of all.

If this single woman is yourself, then you are selling yourself short by seeing a married man.
Unfortunately, for men it is all about the sex and almost always they stay with their wife and eventually you will be left alone.
Women are more connected emotionally to a sexual partner and they are taken advantage of for this reason.
One question you may want to ask yourself: Why can't you find an unmarried man? You do deserve that.
This reminds me of a song " fifty ways to leave your lover.......sneak out the back Jack..make a new plan, Stan"

I'm sure it is possible, but that man would need to explore why he is having these feelings for someone other than his wife, and on what level be feels this love is happening. I love my fiance, but not in the same way as I love my father or my brother or my best guy-friends. I also think he should be honest with the "other woman" about his feelings so that they can explore them in depth together.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

no. he just wants a piece. he will never leave his wife for anyone because of the kids and because she takes care of him, unless you are rich with no kids. Married men are just looking for a little thing on the side. Don't get involved ladies. Guys don't change!!!

It could be true. One never knows what's going on in others' relationships.
The real question to ask yourself here is, can you trust him if you had a relationship with him? What would he do when things hit a rough spot for you two?
Would he never cheat on you?
probably.

He may think that he does, but he shouldn't be saying that because he is married. If she knows what's good for her she will stay away from him because if he's cheating while he's married he will probably cheat all of the time.
