Obviously if there are other creatures out there then they would not look like us. Earth is a fluke. If the Earth happened to be positioned anywhere else in orbit then human life would not be able to be sustained because of the extremes occurring in the climate. However, there are many types of microorganisms that thrive in extreme climates. Archaebacteria, for example, thrive in geo-thermal vents.
There is a lot of research being done in Antarctica to find living microorganisms because scientists feel that if they can survive buried in the ice then it is possible that life could be found beneath the ice on Jupiter's moon Europa. Hope this helps!

The mayor evidence of life on Earth, is the emission of codified radio waves detectable in Space since 100 years ago. In that time we haven't catch the slightest codified signal from space that could suggest is sent by extraterrestrial beings. So, we can be sure that at least in a radius of 100 light years from Earth there is not intelligent life. Some people say those supposed ET's might communicate by other means, that then suggests that they are not smart enough to reproduce our communication system.

Of course no one knows for sure, but how could there not be life elsewhere? If only 1/10 of 1% of the galaxies had stars like our sun, and only 1/10 of 1% of those stars were the same age as our sun, and only 1/10 of 1% of those had planets, and only 1/10 of 1% of those had a planet similar to earth there would be billions and billions of chances. And that's only counting environments very similar to our own, what about life adapting to very different environments as well?
Oh, and I don't think any government is hiding any secrets about this. Would you truely freak out if you knew for certain that others were out there, but that you'd never see them in your lifetime? :-)

Yes, there must be. Even in our solar system conditions may have, or may currently exist for life on Mars or in the oceans of Jupiter's moon Europa or maybe even it's giant moon Ganymede. Astronomers have been observing clouds of organic molecules in a variety of nebulae. Conditions conducive to the development of life are sure to exist elsewhere.
There is surely to be intelligent life other than us, but I believe we will never know. We are too primitive for any super-advanced civilization to pay any attention to us or want to contact us. The universe, even our own galaxy is so vast, that even if we survive long enough to develop faster-than-light propulsion, we may never come in contact with them.

If you layout the universe on a sheet of paper, and a small light represented life somewhere in that universe, and the light stayed on for as long as the life existed, and a second equaled 100,000 yrs, I believe you'd see slow blinks all over the paper in random spots everywhere.

There's no way of knowing, I'm afraid. If we had any data to go on we might make an educated guess, but as it stands we've got nothing but guesses to base our guesses on. The only way we'll ever know is if we actually find it, or if it finds us. Until then anything said about the matter is just idle speculation.

I honestly think there is, to think we are the only ones is kind of egotistical. If the universe is infinit then there has to be atleast one other place like this one :) The odd's are there.
Looking from a Christian point of view i think that God could be more than one, God is OUR God but there is others like Him that created there own universes.
Never know until we die or are contacted :)
