I'm an American guitarist living in Zurich Switzerland, but Zurich is a city with mybe 1.5 nightclubs. There's really no place to gig. My girlfriend is Swiss, so I'm stuck here for a while. Does anyone know of any good websites or agencies that help individual musicians get gigs with other bands in Europe?

Probably there are more possibilities in and around Zurich than you ever would believe. I'm not in the scene, but would suggest you to contact the persons behind the two first websites suggested.
The other websites are random results of a Google search.

Your are an EU member. Getting around Europe is not hard. Just contact nightclubs in cities such as Berlin, Munchen, Strasbourg, and Prague. Then you can go to bigger cities such as London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Also give promoters and producers a CD of your album, so they can at least look at you. Get a gimmick and your good to go. This is how the big bands in the UK start off.
