how can i turn one of my best friends down without hurting him?

i used to like one of my best friends, but stopped. he still really likes me, and thinks that i like him. i dont want him to think we still have something going on between us (we're not actually going out). i really dont want to hurt him because it might ruin our friendship. wut should i do?

not telling him you dont like him is probally hurting him more than telling him the truth. if you're best friends then you should be able to get through it.

well, u cant do that without hurting him..... but if u really need to do that, just go and talk to him, if he is really ur best friend im sure he will understand
