What are the ugliest places you've ever been to in the U.S?

In no particular order:

-Winchester, Kentucky
-Kississimee, Florida
-Northern New Jersey near NYC
-Ghettos in Cincinnati and Memphis (of course, I guess most urban ghettos will be ugly.)
-Blytheville, Arkansas

Oh, some other places that are ugly:

-Dayton, Ohio
-Shelbyville, Kentucky (used to be a pretty nice town until 10 years ago, when a HUGE influx of hispanic immigrants started to flood it. I'm not being racist, but these large concentrations of hispanics have really taken a toll on the town.)
-Irving, Texas

blueyedboyz: I agree with you. Downtown Nashville is ugly; so is Downtown Memphis. Certain parts of those cities, as well as the suburban and rural areas just outside of them are very pretty, so I didn't list those cities as the ugliest.

ghettos aside, Someone came from Michigan to my home in Akron, Ohio one day to pick up a vehicle they bought. The guys wife looked around and said, "Wow, it's really beautiful here!" Where I live in Akron is okay. I wouldn't call it ugly. I asked the woman what part of Michigan she was from and she said "Detroit!" I said "Yep! Compared to Detroit it's beautiful here!" Detroit is the ugliest place I've ever seen. I spent a week there one day.

I went on a road trip last summer from Dallas to Fort Lauderdale, and I must say that we couldn't drive fast enough through rural northern Florida.
