The yankees will not get anyone of importance. They do not have any talet in the farm system. They will have to trade a player from the majors to get quality and that will create another problem for the team.

Until they show a willingness to trade their top prospect Philip Hughes not too much in the way of value will come their up, nonetheless fall into their laps. Cashman should be able to add a reliever and a hitter, but it will not be anything like savior.

The Yankees ideally want an outfielder. They have been targeting Soriano, Beltran and Guillen. However, the problem is they don't have a lot to offer.

Awhile back I heard they were pursuing Torii Hunter of the Minnesota Twins. But I don't know what the Yanks have to offer that would entice Minnesota to make that deal.

I would be more concerned about who they're willing to trade away.
