I am a very romantic person, but sadly my husband is not. Does anyone have any romantic stories to share with me so that I may live vicariously through them? Maybe one of your stories will give my husband some inspiration!

My ex-boyfriend (we'd been friends for a while first) picked me up for our first date and took me out to a field and played his guitar for me, while we watched the stars. It was quiet and beautiful and romantic and whenever I hear the songs he played, it reminds me of that night. He was always doing things like that.

My current boyfriend is romantic in a totally different way. He doesn't do the great big gestures, but I'll come to work and find a chocolate bar on my desk, or a note slid into my book. He'll open doors for me, or turn the radio up when our song plays. He shows me how much he cares in a million different ways every day, and every day, I love him a little bit more.

Hi,
I don't believe romance is dead...it just seems sometimes people aren't willing to put the effort into it.
Relationships require a lot of work and consistency...and communication. Have you let your husband know how you feel?
Maybe some counseling would help...if you think it is worth it ;+)

LAST CHRISTMAS WAS THE FIRST ONE ME AND MY FIANCE SHARED AS A COUPLE. HE WORKS FROM 6PM UNTIL 4AM. MY BIRTHDAY IS 5 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. HE AND I PLANNED ON CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY AND CHRITSMAS ALL IN ONE SHOT BECAUSE HE LIVES IN NY AND I AM IN JERSEY PLUS HE ONLY GETS ONE DAY OFF A WEEK FROM WORK. THE MORNING OF THE 20TH HE CAME RIGHT HOME FROM WORK AT 4AM...PROCEEDED TO WRAP MY BIRTHDAY AND CHRISTMAS GIFTS EVENTHOUGH HE WAS DEAD TIRED. HE ALSO BROUGHT ME CARDS WITH BEAUTIFUL POEMS WRITTEN BY HIM. I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW MUCH HE WENT THROUGH JUST TO MAKE MY CHRISTMAS AND BIRTHDAY SPECIAL AND BY THE WAY HE PROPOSED TO ME ON MY BIRTHDAY WITH A RING HE PICKED OUT BY HIMSELF. HE HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND HE SINGS TO ME ALWAYS EVEN OVER THE PHONE WHILE HE IS AT WORK. I LOVE THIS WONDERFUL MAN DEARLY. ROMANCE IS FOUND IN THE LITTLE THINGS THAT ARE DONE. HE DOESN'T HAVE ALOT OF MONEY AND HE DOESN'T WORK FOR A BIG TIME CORP., BUT HE IS MY PRINCE AMONG MEN. HE HAS TAUGHT ME THE BEAUTY OF TRUE LOVE AND ROMANCE. I AM SO BLESSED.

I'm in the same boat as you. His idea of romance is rubbing my hip to let me know he wants to have sex!

Good luck!
