The greatest problem is the lack of respect for ourselves and others. For so many things we need to turn back the hands of time. Bring back the days when teachers could paddle students. Bring back the days when nudity what on television was not so common. Where did chivalry go? Why can I not listen to music other than gospel that does not have content that makes have to turn the radio off or change stations to protect innocent ears. Do you know your neighbors first name? These are just some of the things that have caused us to loose respect for ourselves and others. Girls gone wild. God help us. If we can't respect ourselves than of course we can't respect the next person. I hate to watch the news for the number of murders everyday. When you talk to young people today they act as though they are not afraid of death. If you are not afraid of death then you are capable of all kinds of evil things. Is there a value on life anymore? I can go on and on about this but I will stop here. We need to learn to respect ourselves and we will be better people willing to love, care, share and respect others..

There are so many it's hard to choose the "greatest" one. But I think that the greatest problem the Earth faces is the environement. If the Earth ceases to exist, then humanity will follow. Of course there are social issues, political issues, wars, etc, but if our environment turns on us, we won't have to worry about those other issues, do we?
I think the Earth is giving us a preview of what is to come from recent events such as Tsunamis, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Eartthquakes, Melthing ice caps, etc.
solution: Everyone needs to do their own share of car pooling, recycling, and respecting the Earth more. Big Businesses have to do their own share since they are most likely contributing to the pollution and degradation of the environment. It's possible but unlikely this will happen. It will take a worldwide disaster for this or any type of actions to be taken. Great Question..hope you get some better answers.

Those who have and those who have-not. Those who have-not include those who work for a living and make less than the average yuppie (Young Urban Professional.) The widening gap between the haves and have-not's is a chasm instead of a gap. Naturally those who have look down on those who have-not and visa versa. The gap will continue to widen until there is a revolt and the two sides square off on the battle field. That is history repeating it's self over and over again.

The greatest challenge for individuals is to find quiet and solitude in order to think. The greatest challenge for nations is to provide the structure so that citizens can be quiet, be left alone, and be creative without noise or disruption.
