guys I want to buy processor. but due to lack of budget I cant buy the best one. for AMD i think i can try 2800+ not more than that. in case of intel it is minimum 2.66GHz.
now the problem is which one should i buy? AMD or Intel?
also another question. intel's buss speed is 800 or more than 1000. but amd is having 200 or 333 0r 400. isnt it too slow? atleat when you compare with intel?
how do you compare this two processors buss?

You can't compare those 2 buss speeds to each other.
Each company (AMD and Intel) has their own special architecture. If you want a processor cheap, go wtih AMD
a 2.66 ghz AMD is much much faster than an Intel. And because of that, you can't really judge those cpus just by that.
just think of it this way. a 3ghz AMD is wayyyyy faster than a 3ghz Intel
a 2.4 ghz AMD is probably around 3 to 3.2 ghz Intel
So if you get an AMD cpu stock at 2.4ghz like the AMD 4000+ which costs about 300 on www.newegg.com you can probably overclock it to about 2.8ghz which is well fast. like a DAMN fast kinda thing.

But try getting an AMD 3200+ it is 100bucks on newegg.com right now and is 2ghz which is a decent speed

AMD

You can't go wrong with either one really. But AMD is king for gaming. Just remember you'll need a good graphics card either way you go. Intel likes to advertise that it's their processor that makes games fly, but that's misleading. Similar Intel and AMD processor using same graphics card, AMD will usually beat Intel if only by a small margin, Intel would have you believe the AMD equipped machine will be left in the dust.

Go with Intel because the processors are reliable, fast, and are built to handle and operate computer processes at any level. AMD Processors are more oriented towards gaming, graphics... Intel processors can still handle graphics and gaming just as efficiently! And last, Intel has been in the game for several years now, much more than AMD. Intel knows what they are doing.

Both computers will give you the same performance, Make sure you get the 400mhz amd memory, or the 800 intel.

The other major difference is the amd will use 30% less power for the same performance.

I think the amd will be cheaper with more bang for your buck, if you get a motherboard that has overclocking abilities you can proably increase the speed by another 15 to 25%... on air.

The answer to your question is based on what you are going to use the system for. If it is for gaming, pick Intel, if not, go with AMD for the cost savings. A little research between the two will show better scores for Intel on some tests (gaming, video, etc.) and AMD on others (standard apps, etc).

No matter what your doing and for the cost AMD is going to be your best bet in almost any scenario. Factor in the fact they are 64bit ready, have on-chip security, and their Thermal Dissipation doesn't vary that much from Intels that cost more normally, you're getting more bang for your buck.

you cant really compare the two processors cause they are both measured in different ways..... as u probably know AMD is more popular with gammers., cause it is typically faster in that aspect. The intel chip is good I think cause it runs cooler and is easier to overclock, therefore I would go with a intel and overclock it. Then u would be good to go.

Intel

I would go for an AMD 64 myself. Even if it is not quite as fast as the Intel. Even though there really isn't much out there right now for 64 bit, 64 bit is the future.

I´ve been working with computers (music- midi - audio - video rendering - autocad) since 1985 and tried every PC you can imagine.
AMD gives more power than Intel, for the same amount of money.
