Moderate Independent.
because no party or ideal should serve anything other than the all the people of the country and do whats right for the country as a whole.
The far left is as fvcked as the far right. Both become so blided by their ideas that they refuse to consider the logic of the others ideas.
From my position I can see what makes sense and what doesnt.

I am an Independent because years ago I realized that Republican and Democrat politicians are just opposite sides of the same coin. The Republicans represent their wealthy special interest campaign contributors and business while the Democrats represent their wealthy special interest campaign contributors, big unions and the very poor, especially minorities. That gives them a slight edge in that defenders of the under dog are much more nobel than defenders of the wealthy.
I was raised in a middle class working family and feel neither party has worked in our best interests for decades. So I vote for the most moderate, honest, "middle of the road" candidate regardless of party. Unfortunately, both parties appear to be controlled by the most extreme elements for several years now.
I am a conservative liberal. Oxymoron? Not really.
I believe in a few laws strongly enforced. This country has way too many laws and restrictions now. I believe that the excessive restrictions, both legal and financial, are a major reason that we are seeing so much more bizarre, and violent behavior. We don't allow people any way to vent so eventually they explode.
I don't believe in letting the obviously guilty off on some minor technicality. I wouldn't ruin someone's life because they had a blood alcohol level of .09, but if someone ruins someone else's life they would get the max. It's imperative that justice be served before the victims, or even the perpetrators die of old age. The only appeals considered would be ones that pertain to a point which would mean the convicted really didn't do it and there would be a limited time to file those appeals. Equal justice, not O. J. Simpson vs Rodney King justice.
People on welfare should have to perform some community service. I believe some strong mechanisms are necessary to control greed. If rents, energy and other expenses keep going up, how are the low income workers going to live? I already feel like I'm living in Fuedal Europe, not America. All my income goes to the landlord, energy companies, insurance companies, and government. I believe that even the lowest paid workers have a right to see some profit for their labor, or else we are a nation of slaves. Isn't that the definition of slavery? To work and have everything go to the masters. I believe that the people have a right to have places to go, like parks & beaches, which don't cost money. I could go on and on, but those points show pretty much where I stand. Thanks for the interesting question.

Independent Liberal sounds good. I would love to see the Independent Liberal Party of the United States.
I am a Liberal because I believe that government must provide social benefits to its people from defense, transportation, culture, financial welfare, a clean environment, health care, etc.
But even as a Liberal, I believe in God and struggle to live as a good a Christian life as my warped nature permits. But again as a Liberal, I want separation between Church and State. I don't need the government to validate my Faith nor for the matter do I need anyone else to believe as I do.
This is where I separate from most Conservatives that I know. They all say they want less government, but what they mean is that they don't like taxes being used to benefit people who they think should be accepting their lot in life and whatever Wal-Mart or Fast Food job they are able to get - even though they can't afford to put money in their 401K and Health premiums. Conservatives also want the government to regulate what you say, what you see, what you read, and ultimately what you do. Is that less government or more....
Conservatives are at war with Public Education because it doesn't want to teach their religion (I guess learning your religion at Church and at home just isnt' enough -- it's got to be 24/7). I don't want the government doing any of those things. If I did, I'd move to China or North Korea or Iran. Those places do all those things, but of course they might also tell you who you have to worship and how. That might make a lot of Conservatives become Liberals, eh??

I am registered Independant but would be a Republican IF the Republicans would be Republicans. Sadly, today we have very few decent human beings on either side of the isle, my 2 favorites right now are Ron Paul (R) and Barrack Obama (D). I really think we need to stop thinking of it as voting for parties and try to find good people that are trying to do right. The Big question is really how do you do that when campaigns are paid for by the special interests government was put in place to protect us from?

use to be democrat ,now libertarian, the wasted vote is voting for a democrat or republican . they have hijacked democracy, fact is 9 ran for the office not 2 . there is no longer a democrat or republican they are the same, look at paycheck and bend-over there taking your money and rights,u can have beliefs that defer but democrats and republicans have hijacked democracy buy not allowing democracy to take hold in debates by ignoring 3rd party's ,fact is elections have been close because more voters are voting 3rd party and not for Dem's or reps, until we include third parties in debates and let voters choose our democracy.it is no better then Saddam's or Taliban's.the voters in our country should demand debates between all political parties in America and that list is no longer then 9 that are registered in enough states to actually win if they got the electoral...the democrats and republicans are scared of democracy here:) PS i consider myself liberal and conservative or in political terms moderate

I am an Independent Liberal as well, but often vote Democrat, because I do not believe in the strict narrow views of conservatives,, especially the views of fiscal conservative,"born-again" Christians,, I think they are groups of brainwashed individuals who follow their preacher,, and do not take time for original thoughts and reading,,, these people seem to flock behind a leader and never think for themselves, which I think is dangerous, ie. George W. Bush.

I consider myself a Democrat. Why Do I consider myself this? Is A very Important Question. Democrats work for a living and know the meaning of working for a living. The Rich Folk just keep getting richer, which is a shame for the rest of us who are getting taxed like crazy from the bush adminstration.

Conservative. Why? Because I beleive people should be able to support themselves and not depend on government handouts. Conservatives side with big business, why? Because they pay the most taxes and provide the jobs that allow people to support themselves. There's nothing wrong with helping the unfortunate, there is something severely wrong with enabling the lazy. These are merely fundamentals that have me choosen the conservative path. Everything else revolves around it. No one can agree 100% with any party.

I used to be a diehard Democrat, but not anymore. I find myself disgusted with both major political parties these days. Neither the Republicans or the Democrats ARE what they are supposed to be anymore. So I guess you could say I'm more of a moderate these days....

I am not a republican, a democrat, or an independent. I vote for which ever candidate has my same belief system and can uphold their beliefs even "under fire" and can get the job done. However, i am a conservative. at this time in history the beliefs of the conservatives match w/ mine on such issues as abortion and gay marriage.
