Theoretically, one answer correct

SHM or simple harmonic motion
Swing back and forth slowly damping to halt at centre

Inertia takes you beyond core, then gravity pulls u back
again u travel opposite past core ...
each swing is shorter, till u come 2 rest at core

You would start climbing as soon as you past the center and would stop once the effects of friction and the gravitational pull of the center pulled you back to the center. Essentially you would be creating a pendulum "swinging" back and forth thru the center (assuming you did not hit the sides from all the deviations in gravity etc) we would call motion towards the center "falling" and motions away from the center climbing. Eventually you would come to rest at the center.

As you understand, you may be incinerated by technique of the circumstances deep in the Earth. If we anticipate that this does no longer ensue... neglecting air resistance, and assuming that the Earth is a proper sphere, you should fall to the centre of the Earth and your momentum may then carry you to the different aspect. I study someplace that this procedure may take 40 2 minutes in spite of the indisputable fact that i'm no longer positive if it truly is a good calculation. you may then start up falling decrease back contained in the route wherein you got here, and proceed oscillating continually. If air resistance is taken under consideration, you received't attain the different end of the tunnel; you'll finally settle contained in the centre.

you drilled a 4 ft hole all the way thru the earth, you'd stop falling when gravity stopped pulling & i doubt that you'd start climbing as gravity doesnt pull upwards

If you mean through the center than you won't be able to describe what happened from beginning to end because you'd be dead. If you mean like a chord um... different story.
