Layering is DEFINITELY in for the fall. If you are doing shirts put on a patterned shirt and a solid sweater on top, or visa versa. People are also wearing minis and tights or leggings under them - this is a form of layering as well. A short dress with sweater and oversized belt at the waist is another idea.

Tank tops are the best. You can put plaid shirts over top of them, even a blouse open (with the tank underneath!!). Skirts with leggings, Tunic type tops with camis underneath- Layer tshirts with cute cropped jackets. Shrug sweaters are adorable- ponchothings are kind of out but theyre cute anyway. A couple of tank tops so you can see both colors- or a polo with a tshirt underneath so you can see the white coming out from the sleeves and bottom! cute! + COLOR and dont match colors exactly like that one person said -eew.

You can wear those short shirts over a nice tee for the same look in a modest way. You can tuck that tee in and way the low rider pants without your entire backside hanging out.

exactly what that girl above said, you dont want to be too matchy-matchy. Some colors I think go good together are black and grey, blue and grey, green and blue, pretty much brown and anything else, no black and white, I dont really think black and any other color looks too great, like a bright pink and black looks tacky. just some ideas.

i like patterned camis over long sleeved or capris sleeved shirts with lots of color and maybe even moderate, but not exagerated patterns, like stripes. go to nordstrom if you have one in your area, they have loads of layering stuff
