OMG I can't believe some of the answers. You will be perfectly fine wearing a tampon while swimmig. Just make sure you change it as often as you would otherwise (should be every 4-8 hours) Even if it does leak you will be fine. Sharks WILL NOT attack you.

Also, I would reccomend switching to Tampax, there was a study that determined that the risk of TSS was slightly higher with the Playtex ones.

You will be fine. Your tampons won't be harmed when you go in the water. Just take some extras so you can change them when you get out if you think you'll be uncomfortable - but your body naturally blocks the water from going in there so you don't have to worry.

Relax and have fun!

If it helps - try taking a bath before you leave - it's the same thing and you'll get to see what happens for yourself. I swim with tampons all the time and nothing bad happens.

All the times I ever have swam with a tampon they never leaked or got bigger inside of me. So I don't think you got anyhting to worry about just freaking your self out.

I always heard that when you are in the water your period stops! (Well not stops but it can;t get out!)
If you are using a tampon you will be absolutly fine! I did that all the time as a teen!
Relax and enjoy your weekend!

no it won't leak you have nothing to worry about if you wear a tampon in the water, just make sure your string doesn't hang out.

Just remember to change it once you are finished in the water.

You should have no problem whatsoever.

no ,it souldnt if you put in a fresh one before you go in , but if i were you i would come out every so often and see if you are leaking because if you are in the ocean sharks will attack if they detect just a hint of blood.

The water shouldn't go into the hole.

you shouldn't go into the water as it will be ice cold and could induce cramping if your on your monthly
