I believe the president should have already been impeached, for disinformation to the public regarding reasons for the war, and for abuse of wartime powers, by ignoring the procedures requiring a warrant for phone-tapping. However, I don't believe this would be the right time to impeach him, with the situation in N Korea. The defense system he's been developing specifically to defend against a potential nuclear missile launch is (and I never thought I'd say this for Bush) damned intelligent. This is one issue he seems to be treating well, so I'm willing to wait and see how he continues to handle it.

to all you people that want to impeach him...
seriously, what is it going to accomplish. Not even the whole house/congress republican control thing, but there's a line of succession, so you impeach George Bush, that doesn't mean John Kerry, your beloved hero, is going to just jump into the position. George Cheney, man of great marksmanship, is gonna be the next president. Now instead of having a VP with strong ties to Halliburton you have a president with strong ties to halliburton and you're going to whine and complain even more. Then what are you going to do, impeach him? Oh but you can't because he hasn't done anything wrong yet(at least not before liberal media sinks their claws in him cause they're still bitter over an election that they lost).
This isn't a new election, you're not going to get who you want, so you should at least stick with what you know, like him or not.

the reasons for which a U.S. president can be legally impeached are clearly stated as:
For the executive branch, only those who have allegedly committed "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" may be impeached. Although treason and bribery are obvious, the Constitution is silent on what constitutes a "high crime or misdemeanor."
So, whether the president SHOULD be impeached depends on if you think he is guilty of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
The question as to whether he COULD be impeached with the current make-up of congress is a different question. Most people would say, no way right now.

Let's face it: No one likes Bush; he has the lowest ratings out of any president. But a president can't be impeached just because he is disliked.

I don't think such a thing would be possible right now. For one, the republicans hold both the house and the senate and will probably lose enough seats for such thing to happen. Second, you can't impeach someone for taking the United States into an un-popular War.

Two presidents, The first president initiates a bloody, costly, unending war on false premises and approves covert policies of illegal detentions, kangaroo courts, extraordinary renditions, torture and warrant less wire-tappings of thousands of Americans. The second president lies about hooking up with an intern. QUESTION - Which one should be impeached?

Simply put no. He does not make the laws of this land. Read a little Political Science, you will see they are made by Congress and the Senate. He can not just invade another country, that has to go through Congress and Senate. He can veto a law or approve it. He can not just declare war to declare it. He has aides and advisors to help him, and like others has to trust their opinion. Take a careful look this dark haired guy that went into office is now completely gray. You couldn't make me become president of this country so all of the people and countries could breath down my neck. Pretty much he is the fall guy. He is the head-of-state and commander-in-chief that is all.

impeached does not imply the president will be kicked out of office. in actuality its a threat to try to get the president to resign. clinton was impeached but he remained in office.

If we can attempt to impeach Clinton for being an unfaithful manwhore, why cant we impeach Bush for being an sadistic, imperialistic idiot? Killing thousands of innocent people, defying the will of the people of your country and lying to fufill your own personal vendetta isnt as bad as cheating on your wife? I dont blame him, can you imagine having sex with Hillary? I doubt she's a good lay.

Changing president is like changing a lover - if you don't know the root of your problems then things just get worse. Fix America and then maybe a new president may be better. Unless of course your president is a very long time partner in crime with people who are abusing you and your people - ie Bin Laden & Saudi dictators.
