Now i've taken a particular intrest into cars but I dont have the stuff or half the lingo when my friends talk about them. I've also started to like idea the modding cars and making them run faster its not like a fly by type of interest it really seems to be more of a passion if there are any sites or books I can read up those would be of great help.

I didn't really know all the much, but this game, in career mode, help you build a better vehicle. It talks about struts, chassis, shocks, engine parts, tires, etc. It gives you a good starting point from when you start picking up books. Also another great way of learning about cars is talk to "gear-heads" (a nickname for people who love tinkering with cars). They love sharing their passion with others.
