Did anyone see the special with Diane Sawyers about the fake blood that they're randomly administering to accident victims? WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. They just pull a card and if your card gets pulled and you've been involved in a car accident, you will get manmade blood. They've tested it on random people and several died and others had strokes.
My question is: How in the *** can this happen without our consent?

Glen t - I know that it could benefit in the long wrong. After the tweaks are worked out. My only gripe is that it's done without consent. I don't think that should be legal.

it happens because its part of a study being done under FDA control. accident victims die and have strokes with normal transfusions too. if the fake blood works out it will save countless lives and dollars. real blood is dangerous, expensive, and hard to store and handle. ever hear of HIV, AIDS, hepatitis?

Half of things the hospital does to accident victims is just guessing, be happy that you don't have to worry about bad blood.
