It's not a lot and it is light in color. Is this breakthrough bleeding?

Any type of spotting could be serious. For the babies sake and yours go to the doctor. I have been pregnant before so I am not just some kid playing around on here. The first trimester is the most important.

If this is happening around the time you would have gotten your period, this could be breakthrough bleeding. As a rule though, unless it is bright red and accompanied by cramps and sometimes clots, it is not usually anything to worry about. You could call our OBGYN for reassurance if you are worried. Good luck.

Any bleeding needs to be checked out by your doctor. It could be breakthrough, but it also could be a sign of miscarriage. See your doctor right away, but try not to stress until he/she tells you what it is for sure.

Good luck to you!

The advice to check with your ob was solid. Worrying and wondering isn't good for either you or the baby. In my first pregnancy I had spotting that increased and led to a miscarriage. In my second pregnancy I spotted for the first three months. I kept rushing to the doctor and he couldn't find anything, not even any blood by the time I got there. His theory was that it came from capillaries in my vagina. Good luck.

It could be your cycle still going lightly, if the bleeding is equal to, or more than that of a sanitary napkin, (pad)- or persists for more than one day you should definitely call your doctor as something could be wrong that you need to have looked into. - You can also get assistance, or ask other Moms & Moms to be at Whattoexptect.com and Babyfit.com. - hope this helps.

You should see a doctor. Only they can actually tell you what is going on. They can make sure the baby is okay
Congrats and Good Luck

It could be something minor, it could be you're about to miscarry. See your doctor... random people on yahoo answers are NOT a good resource for this type of question.

It's very normal for pregnant women to spot while they are pregnant. But if you are worried, it isn't hard to make an appointment with your doctor and get checked out.
