Solar Energy come from the Sun, which in actuality is hydrogen being converted into helium, which is like a giant fusion-reactor. That fusion puts out energy in the form of many wave-lengths, in nano-meters. Light that we can see, for example, is in the area between 400 and 700 nano-meters. But the Sun puts out many other wave-lengths which we cannot see, like alpha and beta and gamma rays...all of which is part of Solar energy. It is Solar energy, for example, which tans you when exposed to Sun-light. So solar energy is actually many forms or "wave-lengths" that the sun generates by fusion.

energy from the sun.. we use it in many forms... from photo-voltaic panels (convert sunlight to electricity), from solar heating panels (heat up some liquid), from plants (they used sunlight to grow).

solar energy is the energy that produced most of the life on earth... and sustains it today.
