i foound this in yahoo help
'click the small circle in ur compose screen which says "Allow HTML tags"'
but could'nt find this in my compose screen..
i have enabled the 'color & graphics' option in mail options
using IE, Opera and firefox

when recieving, i just get the code and not the HTML appearence as i wished for

That's because you can format in html with yahoo, if you really want to send a html e-mail you have to use outlook/thunderbird/ect to do it. They have an import html option that makes it easy to do such a thing.
