Quote:
"The Magic Spray used by some teams, an aerosol can of something-or-other that when misted on the affected area causes immediate and complete relief of all symptoms. The Magic Spray / Sponge / Water Bottle tends to work best if the injured man is Italian, Argentine, or Spanish.
Where once the affected player (oh, let's say Francesco Totti from the Azzuri, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal) was writhing on the ground in extreme agony, on the brink of death because John Terry has cast a glance in his direction from about ten meters away, on runs the trainer with the Magic Spray. And voila! Up pops Ronaldo with a brief wince and then runs off at full speed.
Feigning injury, diving, "making a meal of it," however you want to call it is certainly part of the game of football, and part of every sport. But rolling around on the ground, covering one's eyes and twisting to and fro while screaming is just pathetic. You've already either got the call or you don't. The hystrionics serve no one and to my mind are a disgrace to their nations."

Mostly "Ethyl Chloride"
Ethyl Chloride is a vapocoolant (skin refrigerant) intended for the temporary relief of minor sports injuries and lots of other uses (google it)
But it's not going to do much for you if your injury is bad, it is most effective for injuries that cause a lot of pain over a short period of time, like a badly stubbed toe.

it's a numbing spray but the real reason they get up so quick is because they're not really hurt, i like how they get carried off on a stretcher and then are back in the game 2 minutes later, yea, real tough sport

Seriously....it's a numbing spray. Spray it on the affected area and it numbs the pain.
