An intelligent person can learn patience and compassion, giving segue to mercy. A smart person can build enough wealth to have modern medicine bestow a beautiful face and body on them. I believe the most important traits a person can possess are learned. Honesty, Loyalty, Discipline. Which of those are the most important to teach your children?

Patience, intelligence and mercy are all three important things. Having an attractive body shouldn't be important b/c it's unfair to judge others who don't have good appearences.

Let's assume that everyone wants to be happy and the framework for this question is relative to happiness. In our society, one could argue the answer is what everyone doesn't want it to be: attractive body. It's a reality that those that are more physically pleasant to look at get more "breaks" in the world than those that are not. Intelligence is important, but show me a very ugly intelligent person and I will show you a thousand beautiful idiots that are happier and "doing better". Same holds true for the merciful and patient. Not that this is the way it should be but it is the way that it is.

Intelligence cause you have to have some smarts to have patience & mercy. An attractive body to me is way down on the list. I never judge a book by it's cover so to speak.

Hmmmm. Attractive body. In other words, a body with the power to attract others. Well, someone with the paitience to cultivate his or her intelligence will mercifully find that he or she attracts other people. Mind and body are NOT as distinct as we think. It's only when we play into that duality that we need to start picking and choosing amongst virtues.

Important to whom and in what context? Its an impossible question to answer unless you narrow the scope. As an example, for a supermodel an attractive body is going to be most important.
