I really don't meet too many Caucasians with names I can't pronounce, but many lower class African-Americans have names with multiple syllables that are difficult to pronounce. My parents bought a baby-name book to name their children, but it seems like many African-Americans make up names for their children instead of picking a commonly used one. I wouldn't mind a more unique name, so I don't really see a problem with that, but some parents seem to go way overboard.

I think you mean last names right. It is because their ancestory goes back into different languages the are peculiar to yours. That may be normal where they are from and a name like Brown or Williams would be strange to them.

My name people cannot pronounce and my last name sometimes because I'm from different country and for me English names and last names are weird.
It's depends what country you from and your culture and religion.
