of the top of my head for girls at least, madison along with any spelling variations is way too overused right now. people need to get a little original with baby names without going too far and naming their kids after food, like Apple.

I am drawing a blank for boys but I know there are a few over used names there too.

Personally I like the name Mackenzie, if my second child is a girl her name will be Jordyn Mackenzie Lynn.

Jacob is way over used, it's been top name for the last 5 years. Madison for girls. Obnoxious names are when people make up names for their kids. Blanket, Apple, etc. But when people start combining their names to make one for the baby, that's a bit selfish.

Abby or Abigail. We wanted to name our youngest that but every other baby in the hospital was an Abigail.

overused:
sarah (I know about ten sarahs, all with different spellings...if I can't remember someone's name, just guess sarah.), Bob, Sally, John (I know even more John's than I do sarahs),

obnoxious:
Alexus (a lexus), Sidney, Paris (for a girl), Gwen (just rhymes with too much weird stuff: sanguine, penguin, hangmen), Roger
