The best thing to do is to eat smaller meals more frequently. Try to get something in your stomach every couple of hours, if you can.
Crackers are very good...especially if you feel like eating them. My doc told me to keep a few by the bed with a bottle of water. He told me before I even get out of bed, to sit up against the headboard and eat 3 or 4 of them and sip at the water. Wait about 10 minutes after finishing before getting out of bed. He also told me not to move too fast when getting out of bed.
He told me that after going to the bathroom (usually the first thing all preg's do in the morning!) to grab another couple of crackers and sip a little more water before putting any food in my stomach.
I found some toast (I really liked raisin toast) with a tad of jelly did wonders for me for breakfast. Most of the time if I could get through the morning, I didn't get too sick the rest of the day...but if I was sick in the morning, it lasted all day long!
I also found that some foods, even the thought of them, really made me sick...even foods that I had eaten before and LOVED! I also found out that with both of my pregnancies, I usually ended up craving a food that normally I would NEVER have eaten before! Strange, I know, but it happens.
A literal life saver for me througout the day was peppermint candies...those little hard candies, I believe they are called star mints, and even a peppermint stick, worked wonders! They really settle your stomach. Peppermint is a good stomach soother, even when you are not pregnant. I should have bought stock in them when I was pregnant. I didn't go anywhere without them. I had them in my purse, in my pockets, in the car, even my husband carried some for me!
I now work as a school nurse and I keep them in my office for kids that come in with tummy aches. It usually does the trick! (what I have to watch out for is the kid that come in telling me their stomachs hurt just so they get a piece of candy!) LOL
Good luck...just know, it will get better....just make sure to keep hydrated.
If it gets too bad, don't take any type of medications....call your doc first. Never be afraid to call and ask them questions. That's what they are there for!

I was sick for the entire duration of my pregnancy. It got so bad that my doctor finally put me on a medication called Zofran which helped. The foods that helped me were crackers, plain waffles, peanut butter sandwich, ginger ale, and for some weird reason cool ranch doritos! I needed to constantly have something in my stomach because as soon as I got hungry again the feeling made me nauseous. The best thing actually was those Star Mints, the peppermint candy! I didn't try them until my 7th month, but it was like a miracle! You really should try that. And if you're having a really hard time, vomiting more than a few times a day and are getting dehydrated go see your doctor-there are things they can do to help. You don't have to suffer! Hope this helps.

Crackers do help. It's best to just eat whatever you can keep down for now. For me, here's what has helped so far: chewing mint or cinnamon gum; soda (sprite remix has helped the most); Otter Pops (as a bonus, it provides fluids-- really important if you're vomiting); and wearing those motion sickness wristbands. I hope these help, and I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there.

With my last pregnancy I had morning sickness like you would not believe. I did not want to take any medications or herbs because of the potential side effects they all carry. You can first have your doctor switch your prenatal vitamins to a brand called Premesis. They are supposed to curb the nauseous feeling. That didn't work for me, but it did help. My doctor told me to go get these bands you wear on your wrist. You can get them at the local drug store over the counter. They are called Sea-Bands. They contain no medicine and work almost like accupuncture. I am not an accupuncturist or into any of that stuff, but I tried it and it did work!

HEHEHE when I was pregnant all three times.... TUMS were my best friend. They not only help with the quesy stomach, and indegestion, they also have calcium! Crackers worked ok for me... but most of the time.... i drank a lot of water until i could get out of bed. Another little trick... if brushing you teath makes you queasy... ( i was guarenteed to throw up every time) use Kids fruit flavored toothpaste. I kid you not. IT WORKS. The strong mint flavor of regular toothpaste was way to much... the kids is very mildly flavored. then chew a few mints thru out the day if you feel it doesnt' tackle your breath the same way.

Eat crackers like you are already doing.
Eat small meals every 2-4 hours instead of big meals.
Sip flat warm pepsi or coke. I know it sounds gross but that is what my doctor told me to do. The flat warm soda helps soothe your tummy.
My doc told me to take vit B6 3 times a day if it is really bad.

Crackers, saltines w/peanut butter, Goldfish, Cheese Its, Pringles were a lifesaver for me as well as Honeycomb cereal! Warm tea, especially w/fresh grated ginger root. Raspberry tea, there's a tea from Celestial Seasonings that's made for upset stomach, try a bit of honey in it. Gatoraid will help replace your electrolites. Vitamin B6 & B12 will reduce nausea, gingerale, Emetrol, those magnetic motion sickness bracelets allegedy work wonders! Try chewing gum before eating. Mashed potatoes, popsicles, toast, peanut butter, cucumbers w/salt,
I've also heard of the candies Atomic Fire Balls, Lemonheads, and peppermint candies.
Also, brushing my teeth always made me yak. Try using kids bubblegum toothpaste, it's not as harsh! Good luck and I hope a few of these will work for you!

Ginger helps apparently. But i havent tried it. I hate ginger.
I had really bad morning sickness with my first pregnancy. It was all day, every day for the whole 42 weeks and nothing helped take the sickness away.
Good thing I'm not as sick with this pregnancy.

candied ginger helps, don't eat creamy foods like clam chowder or mayonnaise, spicy food help me, but it doesn't help everyone, drink a lot of clear fluids and don't over stuff yourself. And if you don't eat much in the first trimester, no worries. Just don't lose a ton of weight. No weight gain is fine and if you don't gain much in the 2nd trimester, even better. 3rd its hard not to stuff yourself. Hang in there until you reach the first 2 weeks of your 2nd trimester... you'll feel much better then.
