the daily horoscopes you get in the newspaper are total bunkum - you just can't make accurate predictions for that many people - but I think that where you jump on this big ol' wheel has a lot to do with shaping who you are. and in terms of being able to talk to people, you can reach almost anybody with astrology. If you are a neuroscientist then yes, it's true, you will be able to find highly provable data about human beings, but you'll also only talk to a very tiny percentage of the human population at large; that is to say, other neuroscientists. But with horoscopes, you can talk to almost anyone; we almost all know AT LEAST our own sign, something about it, and a few things about other signs. and this conversation has been going on for AT LEAST 4000 years; the Egyptians did it, the ancient Greeks, Romans, all the way up to the present day. Some people say that this makes it folk wisdom and not very scientifically valuable, which is true, but science is not the only way to determine value. I think there is an element of truth which can be distilled simply because we TALK about things. If you have a lot to talk about then it usually means that you share a lot of things in common. But what about when people who don't know each other very well, or may not have much in common want to talk? Horoscopes are perfect for learning a little bit about people in a sociable way. For these reasons I totally believe in horoscopes. But they will NOT tell you what is going to happen tomorrow. USA and Iran both really want to talk to each other; each has something the other wants. But they don't have much in common, other than a smattering of religious maniacs distributed throughout their populations. So, not knowing what else to say or do, or how to talk to each other, they make threats about their rockets and missiles. What if the USA and Iran sat down and just had a friendly conversation with each other? and tried to learn something about the other side instead of just inventing false information where none already exists? Maybe the two sides would be able to learn from each other and enrich each other with trade. Perhaps a good conversation starter would be astrology. Maybe if the Iranians realize that George Bush is a cancer then they would know that he's got a thick shell, but underneath all that bluff and bluster he just wants the cool kids to like him and he's really soft as a baby's bum.

I don't believe in the daily Horoscopes - I do believe in the descriptions of the different personalities and star signs.

I recommend the book "How to Spot a Bastard By His Star Sign." Totally hilarious, and I've dated enough guys to know that it's all true!

Personally, I do not believe in horoscopes. I consider them a form of entertainment. Why??? Because there are no two people exactly the same on this earth.

Yes and no, it's easy to take whatever they say and find some sort of application for it in your own personal life. Then again, they way my natal chart is laid out describes me to a T and explains a lot of why I am who I am.
