A call to Washington Mutual regarding an overdraw was a very overwhelming experience, for 1 dollar overdraw they charged me 30 dollars, I call several banks and they all told me they'll handle that problen totally different, but my mistake was having my accounts with Wamu instead of the other Banks.
The same day I called Continental to check my flight reservation and the lady couldn't be more rude because there was alot of noise in the background and couldn't hear me.
And that was the morning, on the afternoon I didn't want to have contact with anybody else so I just stayed at home and cry of frustration thinking about how people abuse the power they have over our bank accounts or flight accounts, yoiu can tell me, "well, close your account with them and move to another", but why??, why people don't care anymore? why they only pay attention if Oprah said it, or Bono ask it on yahoo? why regular people can't ask a question without beeing judge? why people are more rude?

You know, people live their lives in fast forward mode these days. They are just so rushed and so stressed out that they really don't have the time, energy and patience to be polite or charming. Chivalry or just plain courtesy is a dying art these days. You sound like a very sensitive person who respects others and are hurt when they don't respect you back. Well, you really should learn to ignore it. Who cares what these people think or say as long as what you need is taken care of? Only be concerned if a loved one is rude. When others are not so nice, allow the bad vibes to roll off of you, like water off a duck's back. It will help if you give them the benefit of the doubt. WHo knows? Maybe they've had a bad day or are upset about something that occurred in their own personal lives.

Well, think little of it-- move on. When you interact with others, do ensure that your inherant courtesy shines through. Maybe, just maybe, they'll learn to follow suit and you would have made the world a much better place!

Of course you're right, but I'm not sure that you know just how right you are. To really appreciate just how course and thoughtless society is becoming, you have to have lived seventy five or eighty years on this earth.
Back before the war, people were caught up in the deepest depression the world has ever known. Very few had much of anything. Most people were skin and bones covered by rags. The thing's they did have were honesty, pride, friendship, civility, willingness to help each other, consideration, and so many other things that seem to be gone today.
Just listen to young people talk today. Every second word begins with F. Read the questions right here on this site sex sex sex. Who is interested in the beautiful things of nature any more ?
People eat like pigs, then ask how they can loose weight. It's an insult to suggest eating less.
Tough as they were, I sure wish we were back in the depression days, when people were real people.

Humanity is hedonistic by nature...meaning self first oriented. Kids today are not taught the manners they were in the past as a result of seeing their parents less or having only one parent. Since the family is breaking down so is society. This is what the Reps are playing on to make everyone take notice. They've a point about family values though they should be making it without mention of Christianity. Peace and Good Will be With You!

People prforming the same work have the tendency to get worked out - burn out. I should say to myself:"After all I am no the only one to appraoch the preson for something. there are many others who had appoached the person. I really don't know hoe well they had approached the person in work. I should tell myself - If I am in that chair I shall not commit the same mistake. That's how we have to learn to look at things. People are all the time the same. I have read something that I wish to share with you. 2000 years before Socrates had been stated to have said: "the young men of these days have no respect for elders. They are an enigma to elders. They are not for control. They don't have obedience." I am a grandfather now. I now say that children of these days are not like me. My father used to say this to me. Now I say the same thing. I am sure my grandson will tell the same thing about his sons and daughters. People anyway are all the time the same.

People in general that are rude and short with you, you want to serve them with a very long spoon. Have you ever heard that saying? You do have to express chivalry, and cordiality when your persona wants you to, however don't let someone Else's bad mood rub off on you. I'm a sweet, nurturing person for the most part, but when someone crosses that line they are served with that spoon. If you mean today's society just look at the TV, how many times is Girls Gone Wild, and Uncut going to come on. Men in my community are very rude, if one more person approaches me and says hey shortay, or little mama, or say F*** you after I refuse to dance with them. You are going to have to except rudeness, but not cruelty, if someone is unprofessional go up their chain of command and do something about it. No matter what is is that someone does for a living that is what they chose to do and it's not your fault if they don't like it! Fight the evil with kindness my dear!

People are extremely rude and distant, from when I was younger. Things were so much easier in the 50's and somewhat in the 60's and 70's. With all the turmoil that was going on in those 2 decades, the people were still kinder than they are now. I'm in my 50's and I remember well.

People in a small town are more polite. They are afraid of being rude because everyone knows everyone and if you mistreat someone the town folk will start to shun you. which unless you are a hermit can make your life unhappy In the larger world where people are more anonymous or know that you can have no real effect on their life
they feel free to be rude.

I think people are so rude sometimes because they have so much going on in their own lives and when bombarded with other peoples problems just makes their day even worse. Oh yeah, I also think that people just stop caring after awhile about how other people might feel.
