NOw this i know what i am talking about, the problem here is that he knows he runs you, he is taking the role of a parent and your his child, which should be the other way around, and if you really want help then listen and do what i tell you before it is to late,
frist you have to take charge, make him mind after all you are his mother, second don't just threaten do to something , do what you say your doing to do, and make him see that you mean what you say, keep a strick hand behind him, don't beat him but spank him if he needs it, stop giving into him.
Set some rules and stick to them
dont let someone else correct him later, you correct him when at the moment he is doing something wrong. stick with your guns or you will have a hand full when he is just a little older .
Right now he knows he is running the show but you can straighten it out now before he gets much older. Don't feel sorry for him and give into him after you correct him, and you and your husband work together not apart. Make rules and stick to them

First of all are you a stay at home mom? Because if you are it could be that hes around you all the time and thats why it seems he ignores you. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 and it feels that way to me sometimes. What i do ......A friend and I take two or three days out of the month and trade off I watch her kids all day so she can relax and take a break and vice versa. and when the kids come back they are so happy to see me that they do whatever i tell them to for a few weeks and then it starts over. lol If your not a stay at home mom I would suggest talking to his doctor and explain your concerns he/she would have some more solutions. I hope this helps and I can completely relate. Always try alternatives before you put a young child on prescription pills. That should always be the last resort.

My adopted son is like that, keep on limiting his sugar and that will help is hyperactivity. Children learn from a early age who to listen to and who not to listen to. You have to show him when you speak you mean what you say. Try a punishment for him so that way he will learn if he acts up there is a penalty to pay. If you dont teach him now when he is older he will really walk over you

Ask your doctor about getting him tested for ADD. Seriously, my daughter was the same way at 4, testing is no big deal, nothing invasive. My daughter now take a pill every morning when she gets up, but she is so different, better. Listens and stays focused.

do you let him walk all over you? i know what you mean, i have two boys 2 & 4.my 4 year old listens to me better then my 2 year old and they both listen to my boyfriend. you need to be firm and mean what you say. don't give him all kinds of chances, he'll relize you mean business if you tell him you're gonna put him in time out or in his room if you really do it. you need to have the upper hand not the child! be firm, it'll only help him in the long run!

How does your husband treat you? How does his father talk about you when your son see's him? I'd bet 1 of 2 things that he is learning it from some male role model (real or television personality) Or he might need some kind of medication to calm him down.
