Love implies a degree of being open and giving, the greater the love, the more open and giving a person would be. Unfortunately, humans are inherently selfish which limits the degree to which we can love each other. If we truly loved one another, we would solve all these problems by opening our hearts, wallets, etc. one to another. Unfortunately, someone shared this message with the world over 2000 years ago and they killed him for it.

This is because, unfortunately, more people are too busy hating each other than loving each other. If people would stop killing each other over the small things in life, maybe we could live in peace with each other.

Because there is no such thing as unconditional love, and because life is inherently unfair. Adults know and accept these things, and work around them to improve their lives.

who agrees on what "love" is?

I would say it is a totally selfish pursuit (a good thing).
Others would disagree.
And there are still other opinions to work out.
