If you do it in India and want to work in Canada, you may or may not have to take additional courses in Canada. You should contact the CGA Association about it. You will have to take exams again:

Keep in mind you also do not have Canadian work experience, so you are at a further disadvantage compared to students educated at a Canadian institution. I have heard of accountants from India and elsewhere working as bookkeepers in Canada while they get qualified here or because an accounting firm wouldn't hire them.

I'm not trying to discourage you but telling you about the practical realities. You probably could eventually work for a Canadian firm, but don't expect to do it right away.

Alot of this applies to other regulated professions as well, such as doctors and engineers.

You can become anything you want to if you work hard enough. Don't let anyone tell you can not.
