When you say "physically" you are referring to the SHAPE of the brain of a chimpanzee. There is very little comparison. The "shape" of any brain doesn't rule the intelligence of the animal. Nor does the size. The difference between all other creatures as compared to man, is the facts that man has the ability to "choose" his actions...whereas animals do not. Animals are conscious...but they are not SELF-CONSCIOUS as man is. Man is "self-aware" but all other animals are not...they function upon their "instincts" only. That is also the reason why animals have to be "trained"...and even in that, there is a limited compacity as to just how far that animals CAN be trained.

chimpanzees and humans have a common ancestral beginning, right from the paleolithic period.namely,Australopithecus Sp. is the common ancestor of apes and man.it had characters of both. humans are more like gorillas than chimps.although some DNA characters of chimpanzees and human do match, yet they have very different brain capacities.a normal human has a brain capacity of 1400cc,a chimpanzee has 600 to 700cc. they have a protruding forehead and snout while we have a sloping forehead and no snout.

I think a monkey's brain may be between 5 1/2 inches to 6 1/2 inches in length.

I'm sure it compares favorably with most men's brain.
