All electronic devices emit some kind of radiation, is it harmful, no, at least not as far as I am concerned. Though one school banned WiFi because the overzealous parents said it was harming their children. The kids didn't care, all they knew is that they could IM during class. If you're that worried about harmful rays and/or radiation then you'll have to cut yourself off from every single electronic device manufactured. Seriously though, you get more radiation by standing in the sun for five minutes than you will from that thing in an entire day.

The Wireless Radio that is in every mobile phone and in every wireless network device must meet strict government guidelines that limit the amount of radio energy that can be absorbed by the human body at any distance for an unlimited amount of time.

This amount is called the SAR (Specific Absorption Ratio). This level of "radiation" that is acceptable for human tolerance is published inside either the front or back cover of the user manual for the device.

Although it is possible for extreme high levels of Radio Frequency radiation to be harmful to humans and animals, it is almost impossible for the devices today to cause any damage to living matter.

A wireless network operates on the same radio frequency as a 2.4 GHz cordless phone, and they are "suppose" to be safe.
