yes, that's over $6.50 and hour and probably a) higher than minimum wage in your area and b) tax free.

More variables need to be solved. How old were the kids? What part of the country do you live in? Friend or family? We live in the Southeast and typically pay $8/hour for our two 4 year olds. When they were younger (and diapers needed to be changed) we paid $10/hour. If you live in the Southeast, you probably got about what you're time was worth. If you live in an expensive part of the country, you may have been shorted.
It was also tax free though. If you have friends working at McDonald's for $6/hour, they are losing 15% for taxes (some of that they'll get back, but not FICO and Social Security). I'd say at $6.50 or so an hour you did alright.

I would say that is fair, $30 would have been nice, but I don't think anyone was trying to rip you off. Next time before you babysit, set a price per hour with the parents. I would say about $8/hour.

Considering that daycare for my son (who is 4 years old) is around $100 per week, and that is for 40 hours per week, I think you were paid more than most babysitters make.

Yes, you were paid roughly $6.00 an hour, which is indeed fair considering the circumstances.

Well, considering the fact that I babysit all the time and don't get paid anything, I'd say "yes". Hint-Don't complain or they'll never let you babysit again, then you'll never get any money!
