Why do liberals think that a child would be great with a cross-dressing dad & a transexual mom?

Do liberals hate children or what? As if "abortion-on-demand" wasn't bad enough... Why do liberals hate the "traditional" family unit? Will liberals also be open-minded as to leave their children to be raised by animals? Will they accept the "Jungle Book" and "Tarzan" as proof that this mentality would work and be best for the child?

To the one on the bottom. How do you define "love"? Is instruction and example involved anywhere in this obscure word of yours? Surely, a decent person thinks that a child needs a "mother figure" and a "father figure". That only is ideal. Only liberals after 1000s of years want to change the family unit and destroy civilization.

First of all, who are you defining as liberals? Perhaps Democrats? Or perhaps to you liberals are Libertarians and other groups who don't want the government or the church making decisions for them. Second, what are you defining as the traditional family unit? With 50% of marriages ending in divorce, the traditional family must be the one in which mom and dad divorce and the children are shuffled between homes and psychologists.

Maybe ... some Liberals, as well as some Conservatives think for themselves and recognize that fitness for parenthood comes down to the particular character of the would-be parent, not to bigoted ideas of what "those people" are imagined to be. My prejudices are along the lines that bad parents are those who relish the control over a victim too small to fight back successfully. Bigoted parents will likely impress their hatreds and small-mindedness upon impressionable children. Pretty much the same for fundamentalists of any religion. Kids deserve loving, caring parents, whatever picture that happes to be, including gay, lesbian, or transgender parents, or even most Conservatives, I suppose;)

I'm a conservative and you are making all conservatives look bad. While the typical nuclear family is most likely to help a child the most, children have a better chance in life with just about any family than staying in a foster home.

It's not that they hate. The just think everyone has the right to live how they want. If the cost is a country that no longer has values, so be it. They care about nothing more than finding groups of people to vote for them.

Its easy to come up with examples to justify one's own hate. Love is what is important. Where it comes from is less important.

I think that very very few people 'hate' the traditionally family unit, its just that it is naieve and irrational to expect all people to behave the same.

If you really cared about children then you would try to spread more love instead of trying to spread hate.

Sexual orientation has nothing to do with parenting skills. LGBT persons can be aweful to great parents. The same with Straights can be awesome to horriable to idiotic. What matters is, it their child going to grow up to be a responisable adult?
