They earn more, that is for sure but I do not think that makes them any better than you and I. :)

Some of them are. But I mean, people like recent Madonna or the supposedly pretty girl (the handsome one that plays the governor's daughter or something in the Wedding Crashers) or the withered spoon (the one who got an Oscar recently)... well, let's say I know they're only humans, doing their jobs and everything.

But would you really dare to compare yourself to the Little Mermaid and Emma Watson? or if you were a guy to Sponge Bob and Brad Pitt? People say they're no good inside, but the truth is that we're worse than them! I know there's probably no convincing you, "Oh, I were in their place, I'd do charity works and save the world!" Yeah, right.

Anyway, we are all putrid inside and the fact that most of us can't accept it is proof of it. Be a less putrid human and friggin accept it!

But at least some of the celebrities are beautiful outside and give an aesthetic meaning to this life, which lacks it so, sooooo much.

The other ones like Orlando Bloom should just be shoved into the recycling bin and then sent to the Sun (if they're sent in their original state the Sun might go berserk) And I'd name a lot of other celebrities that should be done the same thing *cough, cough* Leonardo Dicaprio and perhaps Ben McKenzie *cough, cough*, but I know people look up to them as if they were gods, so I'll just shut up. Eventually.

And I think your meant gods (plural) or God with capital G. Gee!!

I don't think that celebs are any better than us. I think that celebs are just the same as us when the cameras are off of them. I think that people look up to them like a deity because celebs can do everything that we can't. They can be other people(in movies), they can express themselves(in music), and they can be awarded things for wacky reasons( Money just for showing up at a club). Not to mention they get paid for doing just what they love. I hate that some people dislike celebs claiming that they don't really have jobs. They do because just think that if you were in front of a camera and expected to recite lines that you just learned. I think that serious acting and singing take talent and will power that most "regular" people don't have. I think that that's why people see celebs as god-like figures.♥

I think celebrities are not better than me but people look up to them because they are in movies and are good looking.

No way! People are just ignorant and need someone to look up to in terms of fashion and gossip. Some people need to get a life and stop pretending like they're part of a celebrities' life, because they aren't.

No,I don't they are better than me. Richer yes better no. I think they are admired but certainly not looked up like a God. Many teen-agers and some young adults admire and even aspire to be like them but that can lead in some cases to worshipping them which isn't good

No, Actually I pity them. I wouldn't wish being famous on my worst enemy. I mean, what kind of life is that? I'd rather be poor and unknown and HAPPY, than rich and lonely, leading a sad life that everyone feels the need to invade. Would you like to be scrutinized all the time by people you don't know? I wouldn't. Having a mother-in-law is enough scrutiny for me.

They normally have talent in one area of entertainment: singing, dancing, whatever. As for looks, yea I'd say most of them are better than me that way. They certainly make more money than I do.
But in the end, I go away happy knowing that my education will have provided me with more knowledge than many of these "gods" would ever have in their lifetime.

Absolutely not. I think most people who look up to
them are not very intelligent because they are
not aware, or perhaps don't want to be aware, that
they are merely a shinny package in most cases.
I guess it also depends on what they a celebrated for.
Most celebrities are just product however.

Nope, we all put our pants on one leg at a time, people are always looking for the utopia and because most of them have money people think they got it made. I would rather have nothing then to have to live like they do.
