I think or I should I see people so consumed with tryint to find happiness in the wrong things. Trying to fill avoid in themselves. They try to fill it with other people, relationships, food, alcohol, sex, material things, money, fame. Happiness begins with yoruself. Learning to love yourself and having self worth. If you can t be happy alone how can you be happy with someone else your depending on them for your happiness. Love yourself first no one can take that away. Being happy and learning to take your eyes off your worries and problems which is a hard lesson.
It's your choice to be happy and people forget that. It gets easier if you practice it. Love life there is a purpose for you. God wants you to be happy. I wake up every morning and thank God and thats how I start my day. When I am having a bad day I like to look in hte sky and it reminds me this day was made for me. God made this beautiful canvas in the sky for us. I find the beauty around and I look at the blessings I do have and how Gods love is so much bigger then all around me. Each day is a blessing. I find happiness in the Lord.
My day is far from perfect but I laugh everyday I sing everyday out loud in my car.I'll cry cause a song is so prettty yeah I know thats corney but it clears the soul and it feels good. I make other people laugh and try make someones day. That makes me happy. To love my girls and have there kisses everyday is better then gold.
Find your blessings everyday you will find happiness.

Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. ~ Albert Einstein
Happiness is like the Mona Lisa, it can't be bought.
The priceless gift of life is love, for with the help of God above; Love can change the human race and make this world a better place. For love dissolves all hate and fear and makes our vision bright and clear; so we can see and rise above our pettiness on wings of love. ~ Helen Steiner Rice
Money never made a man happy, nor will it. There is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one. ~ Benjamin Franklin
The happiest times we ever spend are those we share with a special friend.
Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends but in the worth and choice. ~ Benjamin Jonson
We enjoy warmth because we have been cold. We appreciate light because we have been in darkness. By the same token, we can experience joy because we have known sadness. ~ David Weatherford
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. ~ Proverbs 15:13
Before I met you I never knew what it was like to look at someone and smile for no reason.
Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.
Life is too short to be unhappy.
Some cause happiness wherever they go. Others, whenever they go.
Happiness is not what you have but it's who you have right beside you.
These are just a few of my favorite quotes on happiness and all of them are so true.

You want to write a book? Write a book about the wool doctors and drug companies sell to us every day to pull over our own eyes. I think most people are generally happy at younger ages. While exercise may have something to with it, for some reason, I think as we grow older and wiser, and begin to realize the futility of life, we hope for other things. Afterlife, heaven, reincarnation. The Problem is, while we're here, wasting time, we feel "depressed"... whatever that means. So, we jack ourselves up with "anti-depressants" and then what happens? We aren't depressed anymore. Do you know anyone on anti depressants that's happy? They stay at a plateau of mood. Never happy, never sad. Just, there... Like a deer in the headlights. in the order you asked for, USA, 23, Welder

Their happiness seems to be biological... they are commonly excited about things, plus seem to be more sensitive to pleasure (ie, they seem to enjoy food & etc. more than others). They are even-tempered, where their moods seem steady the majority of the time. Though they do get angry, it is usually the right amount of anger for the right reason and towards the right person. This leads me to believe that there is a strong component of self-awareness there.

I believe that happiness is over-rated. I dont think that anyone is ever really happy. Life will always throw you a curve ball. You have to just roll with the punches and live your life the best you can. Cherish everyday, it may be your last.

I am a caucasian female from the USA. I have lived most of my life in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisianna. I am in my forties and disabled. I was a Substance Abuse Counselor and Security Specialist during most of my working life.
I know hundreds of happy people. Happiness comes from the inside and spreads to the outside. It's not something you can buy, rent, or find. It's not influenced by events outside the heart and soul of the human being who has it. Happiness is a choice. No matter what my circumstances, no matter who says or does what, no matter where I find myself, I can choose to be happy, or I can be miserable. Abraham Lincoln once said "I've discovered that people are generally just about as happy as they've made up their minds to be." I agree with that statement.
Much of my happiness, (no, make that joy) comes from the fact that I am a born again Christian. I know that no matter what the externals are, my internal climate is tolerable as long as Jesus is by my side and He and I have fellowship with each other.
Most of the real Christians I know are the same way. Notice I said "real". Many claim Christ but many fewer actually try to do what He said to do.
I stay happy and joyful by getting out of myself and giving to others. Christians are told "be not hearers of the Word, but doers also". That means you get up off your "blessed ***-surances" and actually demonstrate Christ's love in your own world. I am just one person and I will most likely never be presented with an opportunity to do "great" things, but I can every day, in every way, do "little" things for others with "great" love.
I help elderly persons, I helped with a shelter for Katrina refugees, I helped people after Hurricaine Rita, I volunteer with the Red Cross, I work with Samaritan's Purse, I put books on tape for people who can't read due to dyslexia, I try to help those I meet who are in need.
I am disabled due to severe back pain. I can't walk, stand or sit for any length of time. Working with others and sharing myself takes my mind off the constant pain and I find myself feeling better. Even if all you do to get out of yourself is to go to a cemetary and clean up a grave site of someone you don't know, you have gotten out of yourself and you will feel happier and better about yourself and the world you live in.

I don't think people just "have" happiness. I think it has to be worked towards. People need to do things they're proud of, work for good relaionshops, etc. I also believe that it's impossible to be happy if you're expectations for life are too high. There are ALWAYS going to be hard times, and you need to expect that.

You have to go through unhappiness to know the feeling of true happiness. Not many people are, but i can say that i am happy no matter what life throws at me.

Only few people are happy. Many people have problems, many of them dream about a better life but they can't achieve that, and their dream never come true.
think just about some poor African nations , their life is so bad, they are suffering, they are starving....
About my life, I don't strave but I have dreams and I am afraid my dreams will never come true....
I am also not lucky in love, I think there are some people who have similar problems and they don't find the person they were looking for.
Happiness is only a privilege of wealthy people.
Thats just my opinion, I respect other's opinion.
