The degeneration of youth today is caused by many things...MTV is just a symptom, not the disease. MTV exists in its current form because it knows how to cater to this audience...mid teens to early 20's mostly, and regurgitates the swill that they gladly lap up...pseudo "reality shows" that have nothing to do with real life or morality, and rap videos that glorify drug use, murder, rape, and prostitution.
The root cause is the parents of this generation, who so desperately want to be their child's "friend" rather than their parent, and instill nothing but an expectation of getting anything they want...which, in conjunction with what they are exposed to via TV and entertainment (even video games) ends up leading to a total lack of respect for authority and a sense of entitlement and instant gratification..."the world owes me something and I want it now." Even younger kids want an instant fix...they can't even play a video game without wanting to find the "cheat codes"...and they are there, because the business men know who they are catering to...spoiled brats who want it all, and want it now, for free.

exciting question. i trust the answer is two fold. a million. guy became designed by employing God to stay (actual) perpetually. regardless of the indisputable fact that, after the fall, mankind became constrained in our lifespan. yet because of proximity to the unique advent (in the previous the flood) human beings lived a lengthy time period nevertheless. 2. After the flood, peoples existence spans dramatically shortened. i trust (alongside with many others) that between the important causes for this became that in the previous the flood, the atmopher contained in the Earth became dramatically distinct because of became some call the "water cover". The became a layer of water above the Earth that helped look after it from image voltaic radiation, led to larger atmospheric stress, and better ranges of humidity. those factors helped no longer in ordinary words guy to stay longer, yet for the speedy boom of all plants and animals. The Bible says that in the previous the flood, it by no potential rained yet that a mist rose up from the Earth and watered each and everything. This became the end results of that cover. desire this facilitates. Elder Greg (((SFCU)))

No girl was ever ruined by a book, or a TV show for that matter. What's wrong with our society is the decline of personal responsibility. Nothing is never anyone's fault anymore. People need to take responsibility for what they do, period.

That's too easy...blaming it all on the tv, or the internet (whether it's chats or myspace). I think the parents should really take their responsibilities,

It is not the cause's itself, but it is absolutely one of the effects of the cuase. I mean, not the whole guilty but a part of it.
