If you keep it natural looking, no one will think it's bad. It's when you use too much makeup, or worse yet--when you use things that are way too dark for you, that people will make a fuss about it.

If you buy a tube of clear or brown mascara and use a light coat on your eyelashes to get used to putting it on and how to do it well, no one will think twice about it. Just make sure you're not making your eyelashes stick together, just that you're giving them a little coat to make them look a little longer.

There are lots of good brands of mascara, but Maybelline is probably the one that will be easiest for your to find and afford. Make sure you don't buy a waterproof mascara at your age because it's difficult to take off if you don't have practice.

And every night that you use mascara, put a little baby oil on a cotton ball and use it to take off the mascara. Slide it across your closed eye from the outside corner of the eye towards the nose.

Just kinda depends, I wasn't all that girly because I was raised with two brothers. I don't think I did at 14, but I'm not totally sure, I could have. My step-sister, however, is like twelve or thirteen and she wears it. She has been in dance class all her life and so they have had to wear it for recitals and stuff even when they were like seven so it was a little different. She does wear it everyday though now. I'd tell you to sit down and talk with your parents about it and reach some kind of agreement because trust me, mascara is not something to have a huge fight about. If they don't let you, nobody is going to remember you as "that girl who didn't wear mascara." And when you get older, it becomes more of a burden than a privilege. Those extra couple of minutes make a big difference when you're running late to work or class haha.

Hi, Thank you for putting down your age. Have your Mom look at my website www.wonderful.myarbonne.com for the About Face Makeup line. If she agrees that you can wear makeup I would suggest starting out with a superior product such as Arbonne Swiss Skin Care. It has no animal by-products in them and never tested on animals. You are at the right age to start taking care of your skin and Arbonne has a complete line of products to do just that. If you want to know what is in OTC makeups and lotions just google "rendering plants" and you will learn what they use. Arbonne is pure, safe and beneficial. They are herbal and botanically based products.
Good Luck to you.

A lot of girls start wearing make up in middle school, so I don't see anything wrong with you wearing mascara. Personally, I like make up from shiseido because it works well and it's not made out of cheap stuff.

Well -- What do your parents have to say? My step daughter began wearing mascara and lipgloss at age 14:)

no rush for makeup, but if peer pressure is there, than talk to your parents about it and see what they think. Ask your mom or dad to set up a make up party for you and your friends, a cosmetition can come to a party for a minimal fee and show you how to put make up on properly and tell you some good product ideas

Actually it protects eyes from the sunshine rays in the eyes.
Waterproof kind is the best.
