What does soda have in it that makes us burp that non-carbonated drinks don't.

carbon dioxide

the carbon dioxide (written CO2 and often maligned as a greenhouse has) is disolved in the water of the soda at the temperature and pressure of the unopened soda

when the pressure is lessened or the temperature raised, the amount of CO2 that can stay dissolved is less, so the extra comes out of the water (thats the bubbles)

when you drink a soda quickly you raise the temperature of the soda in your stomach and you put a lot in at once and you make a lot of CO2 gas in your stomach

the body handles it by belching, or in some cases, flatulence

To tell you the truth this isn't even a chemistry question though there is a molecular part to it. The carbon dioxide within the drink adds a greater pressure within the body. As such the pressure within the body, more specifically the centre of equillibrium of the body within the ear is disrupted by this quick inflow of gases which exhibit pressure,CO2(g) and O2(g), and as such the eschabian tube within the ear becomes filled with these gases. As a autonomic measure, the eschabian tube pops and releases the gases and equalizes pressure through a number of distinct manners. Through air bubbles in saliva, gum, burping, and ear popping are all involuntary measure taken by the euchetabian tube that allow for the exalization and homeostasis of pressure within the body when the sudden inflow of extra pressure and reduction of gases and pressure take place within the body. This would not happen ofcourse if you were to drink a non-carbonated drink which has no gases in it or very few to disrupt the body's pressure equillibrium.

Mostly because of the gas generated by the soda you're drinking, Carbonated beverages, have trapped carbon dioxide in them, and when you belch or burp, that gas is just escaping.

Carbon dioxide. It's the bubbles. When you drink soda really fast, the bubbles have less time to escape the liquid before it gets to your stomach. Once it gets there, the bubbles escape and you've got a big bubble in your stomach. Then you burp to get rid of it.

Soda contains Na2CO3, NaHCO3, H2CO3, and in-solution CO2.
The acids in your stomach substitute all the carbonate-ions and sets free a tremendous amount of CO2. The amount of CO2 cannot be held by the stomach liquid and therefore evaporates forming a big bubble of CO2 in your stomach.
And there you are with the urgent need to burp :-)

carbon dioxide is what causes the bubbles that make it fizzy. When u drink it real fast it doesn't have time to escape and building up in ur stomach, which u then burp out.

Because, Soda contains dissolved carbon-dioxide and most of it is in the form of carbonic acid (H2C03)

As the temperature warms-up the solution out-gases (dispels the dissolved content, H2CO3).

After we drink Soda it gets exposed to higher temperature as well as it comes in contact with stomach acids, which further displaces the dissolved C02.

the fizz in carbonated drinks is actually carbon dioxide gas. non carbonated drinks dont produce gas. so when you drink a soda, the gas builds up pressure in your stomach and you burp.

Carbon Dioxide. Regardless of the speed of drinking, CO2 finds a way to escape.

It's most likely more than just gas that's making you feel bloated. Get more fiber and H2O into your diet and have a good bowel movement.
