Throw out the sofa and the blood will go to

You didn't say what type of fabric, so I can throw out a few suggestions. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down the proteins in blood, but you would probably want to do a spot test somewhere that won't be noticable to make sure it doesn't strip the dyes out of the fabric. I would dilute it with water also. I also saw on a web site you can use salt, then wash off after letting it sit to absorb the stain. There are some others, here is the link:

Wow, what an eerie question...kind makes the mind reel a bit. What kind of fabric are we talking about and what color? That will have a strong bearing on how you will proceed. A natural fabric will react very differently from a completely synthetic fabric. How big is the spot?

Peroxide...lots of it. Just pour it on let it bubble and wait... pour more on until it no longer bubbles and blot the wetness out. Best wishes

Alternately, this reminds me of a radio show I heard once where they were playing a prank on a carpet cleaner and were giving the illusion that they had murdered someone and needed the floors cleaned immediately... it was totally messed up but hilarious. I'm sure that has nothing to do with you, but I'm sort of in a mood today...

As opposed to a stone sofa? Or a chain link sofa?

Any "oxy" cleaner will work.

How did you get blood on your fabric sofa? Do I want to know?

First get rid of the body, then try peroxide on a small section of the fabric

Oxy-Clean

Get a small spray bottle
Put 1.5 scoops of Oxy-Clean in it
Fill halfway with very hot water
Shake until the powder is gone (vent every so often)
Spray and blot until the blood is gone

My 3 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous son wrote on my 8 month previous leather-depending settee with blue AND black Sharpie everlasting markers at the same time. I used the 3x Mr sparkling Magic Eraser and it dwindled it till that is purely about no longer substantive, then I used a leather-depending conditioner on the settee. you ought to scrub the settee with the eraser, regardless of the indisputable fact that it worked extra perfect than alcohol, shampoo and cleansing soap!!!

If it is possible to remove the fabric slipcover and send it to the dry cleaners, that's probably your best bet.

If it's your blood your own saliva will get it out. This sounds crazy but it's true. Wet a clean cloth with your own saliza and rub gently.
