They aren't threatening us.
They are doing exactly what they stated they would do when they withdrew from the NPT after talks failed. They stated that since the USA believed they were on the 'axis of evil' and after the USA illustrated it would use force against axis of evil countries (Iraq) that they would begin to develop nuclear weapons for defensive purposes only.
None of this is new. We all saw it coming. I mean duh they are diong exactly what they have been saying they were going to do.

You can thank Billy Boy "Slick Willie" Clintoon, his butt-boy buddy alg'ore and the sec of state Madeline Half-bright for North Korea having these missles in the first place, anyhow, the USA is technically at war with North Korea since the treaty that ended the Korean War in 1953.

The simple answer is: Because the dear leader isn't all there.
Nobody can be exactly sure as to whats going on, but it is a common trait among fanatical warlord-dictators of pissant little countries to focus outward and attempt to look strong to the rest of the world rather than govern their countries for the betterment of their people.

Because there is a psychotic, spoiled, brat running the country. He behaves this way in order to validate his own existance and gain the attention of the whole world. Were it not for his "bad-boy" behavior, building and launching missiles, he and his country would be no more than a name on a map. All of this hue and cry over his missiles draws attention to an otherwise insignficant country.

it is called being a country that wants to be notticed and like a child wants to be the one getting all the attendtion to make them feel better with there self because what is going on with Iraq and Iran
saying that they have the power and Nuclear arms it is beacuse we had disagreed with them using Nuclear material

Use your brain, they aren't threatening you, they have seen how America goes around attacking defenseless countries, so they are showing they have some defenses.
