I live in the Califonia in Los Angeles county. I've been living in my apartment for about 5years I moved in paying $695.00 and now I have to pay $840.00 just last month I was paying $795.00 I was just wondering if that is how much he is suppose to raise my rent. Does anyone know of a website or a number I can call to see my rights as a tenent and how much rent he can increase, since every year he jacks up my rent?

Call the Housing Authority in your county, or call a realtor for better advice. They know all the laws in California, and can give you more info than what you can find here.
