Jesus said I am THE way, I am THE truth, I am THE life. Nobody comes to the Father (heaven) except by ME.

It's simple; you have to be born again. You confess to Jesus that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive you and come into your life...your heart.
Ask Him to be LORD of your life...to completely take over.

It's like starting all over again - with a clean slate. Forgiven. Clean. He WILL come in and take care of all your needs. Answer your questions. Give you wisdom. Help you make right choices and decisions. Help you forget all the mistakes you've made. Help you forgive others who have wronged you. Give you strength to do all the things you, by yourself, are unable to do.

He wants to be your BEST friend. He loves you more than you can posibly imagine :) You can be SURE you go to heaven where you will be with HIM, Happy, Healed....HOME.

Ever have that funny feeling in your gut when you think about death? I used to. I don't mean to go super spiritual on you but if your a Christian you can be certain you are going. Then the question is, "How do I know I am a Christian" or "saved" as some people say (saved from that other place with the fire). If we confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart God raised him from the dead we are saved. (Romans 10:9) Any local pastor would be more than happy to talk with you face to face. If you are looking for direction in you life it's a good place to start. Also check out "The Purpose Driven Life" Good book, oh yeah, and the Bible - the book of John.

As a Baptist, I have your answer.
Go see a minister or a friend or realitive who is relegious, ask them that question and ask to be taken down the Roman road of Salvation.
You know John 3:16 ? For God soloved the world that He gave His only begotton son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
You then have to through a few verses in the book of Romans.
It's a thing that has to be done in person, not over the phone,computer,ect..
May God be with you .

You can be SURE, only if you have FAITH in God and in His promises. If you do not have that faith, you cannot be sure you will go to heaven when you die, although you probably will get there, if you lead a "good" life.

God the Father (Old Testament) promised salvation to those who follow His laws. Jesus (New Testament) promised salvation to those who love God with their whole being and their neighbor as themselves. (Because when you love Jesus/God, you will automatically follow His laws - the "being good" is easy).

Jesus, the second person of the Blessed Trinity, the second person of our Triune God, our Savior who became man and died for our sins, promised us there is life everlasting. If you believe Him and trust in Him, (which I do), then you definitely will go to Heaven after you leave this earth. Practicing Christians are forgiven their sins because Jesus died for their sins. We all sin, so this promise is reassuring.

If you are a Jew, you are one of His chosen people (2,000 years before the birth of Jesus). God the Father (Creator of the universe and everything in it and first person of the Blessed Trinity) made a Covenant with the Jews and gave them the ten Commandments to follow. They, too are saved if they live in His Promise (Covenant.) Religious Jews honestly believe that the promised Messiah is yet to come, where Christians believe Jesus is the promised Messiah. ("Completed Jews" who were born Jewish and who recognize Jesus as the promised Messiah, are covered both ways.)

I know very little about the Moslems, except that they believe in heaven also and if they follow their conscience and what they are believe is right, they too will probably get to heaven. (But it's hard to see where heaven would consist of carnal pleasures with 7 virgins - this is a fine example of evil creeping into religious teachings, not to mention the practices of terrorism and suicide!)

Pentecostals focus on the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Blessed Trinity, who Jesus promised would come to Earth after His death and Resurrection and guide us until the end of earth's time. He arrived in tongues of fire, per the Bible's New Testament. And He guides us when we ask Him to.

Uneducated, illiterate peoples of the world with no access to the Bible (written or spoken) were also made in the image and likeness of God. They have a conscience within the brain that tells them in some way what is right and what is wrong in the environment they live in and I would guess they have a hope for an afterlife within them. And, of course, there are many other religions, not based on the Bible, but on human needs.

So on many levels, God in His infinite Wisdom, has given everyone, a role to play on earth, a time line to do it in, and a hope for life after death. To whom much was given, much is expected and vice versa.

If you live your life as if there is a God and an afterlife, and it turns out that religion was only a wishful dream, and that faith was for naught, then you would have lost nothing, as your entire being would be extinct upon death and there'd be no "you" to think about it.

However, if God and His Promises are true, and you willingly reject His existence, His commandments, and His promises, name YOURSELF and your own needs and wishes as the be-all of your life, and allow Satan and other evil spirits to point you away from God, then you will find yourself spending eternity outside of God's care (HELL).

Read your Bible (most likely the one traditionally used in your own family), love God and His Word, pray for guidance in your decisions, join a traditional Church, stay away from people who practice the occult in any form, and help others, you defiinitely will go to heaven and will know it now through faith in God's promises to us throughout the centuries. God BLESS!

Put in your will, "Please ship my dead body to heaven."

That's pretty much the only way. Even then, the probate court can change that last request. You might end up in Jersey instead.

You can't be sure.

Just be the best person you can while you're alive. Volunteer, give money to charity, be helpful to others when you can.
