A.J.??? This guy isn't even in the top 3 at his position. Hafner has 5 Grand Slams this year .319 average 25 HR and 74 RBI's. Fans should not be allowed to vote this game anymore since it impacts the World Series. Because evidently fans who do vote know nothing about baseball. I vote the best players. Hafners numbers blow away 95 % of MLB players. All-Star game is and never will be the best players. So fans should lose their right to vote. Best players should play.

I conquer. Hafner is incredibly talented and dominant. Plus, everybody hates AJ Pierzynski (except maybe dumb White Sox fans). With an astounding Batting Average, On Base %, and Slugging %, Hafner was clealy the top choice with Liriano in with a close second. I agree, fans should only vote for players with top priority and talent. Coaches and managers should decide "bubble" players like in Hafner's case. And one more thing, Mark Buehrle is the most undeserving player on that team. I say Liriano takes his spot.

AJ won the spot because there are more people in Chicago than Cleveland and because as World Series winners (and because of the phenom year they're having now), the White Sox have more fair weather fans. More people know who he is. I do disagree with you, though, about the voting.

The All Star game was originally conceived as an exhibition game, you get to see all of the stars play together. The dumb way that MLB mixed up it the last few years with the "This time it counts" home field advantage changes the nature of the All Star game. If that's how they want to do it, they should let the managers do the picking again like they used to do. I would like to see it returned to being just an exhibition game, which would mean fan voting. Home Field advantage should go to the team who deserves it, the one with the better record that season.

Because people are idiots. Travis Hafner is an amazing player and anyone who voted for AJ over Hafner is an idiot. Hafner is the clear choice and White Sox fans should never be able to vote again.

amen. A.j. is totally and completely undeserving of going. fans who voted for him are idiots.they obviously just look at the name of the player instead of the numbers. A.j. won a world series last year and he got his name in the headlines so much after he got punched in the face (haha)so naturally,he gets in.The fact is, he could have had a .190 BA, with 1 Hr and 4 RBI's and he still would have gotten in. the whole thing is pathetic. Hafner deserved to be in over A.J. simple as that.

The fans should vote, its a game for the fans, it doesnt really matter, it shouldnt determine the home field for the world series, but unfortunately it does, either way, I think the fans should vote and if Hafner doesnt make it, oh well, he should do better next year.

There's a lot of guys not in the game that should be, thats just the way it is.

I hear ya. I voted for Francisco Liriano myself. He should've been there too. I don't know why other baseball fans keep allowing the White Sox fans to stuff the ballot box. If the fans don't vote, then their players don't get in. Simple as that.

I think it should be the other way around.

Fans should vote for the all-star game as its meant to be a spectacle for the fans. All the players that fans want to see in one game.

The thing that has to change is the home field for the world series. This is about as idiotic as it gets. You are talking about having home field determined by players who arent even on your team.

when you consider that all of the gamers are properly above uncomplicated, i assume it relies upon on what you think of your advantageous factors are Hafner: BA+, Runs, RBI+, HR+ Reyes: SB+, Runs+, BA,HR Utley: HR+,RBI+,SB, Runs,BA Wright:HR, RBI+,SB+,Runs,BA + skill extra advantageous than widespread for the fielding place i think of the Utley Wright mixture is extra helpful by way of fact they fill each type, in any given week. yet Reyes is a greatest SB guy that could desire to hold you. those form of fellows are 25-29 years previous - so they are getting extra helpful or at their height. i think of you get extra RBIs with Utley Wright than Reyes Hafner. Utley and Wright might desire to steal 30 bases between them. Furcal is 30 SB guy with 10 HRs. so the SBs are virtually a wash - assuming Reyes gets 60 returned. Glaus is a .250-.260 hitter oftentimes. he's 31, and is due for a decline and has had injuries. Howie Kendrick is a unknown commodity. Loading up on potential with decrease BA (Dunn, Hafner, Glaus) rather of keeping properly rounded varieties (Wright, Furcal, Utley) is as much as you, yet are you able to win weekly matchups with the later, i think of so. i does no longer commerce - even with the incontrovertible fact that that's no longer a foul deal the two.

I agree with you somewhat but Hafner was hurt in voting because he was listed as a DH

Hafner will get in since somebody else will pull up lame...and this shouldn't even be a debate since Liriano should've been in over both of them.
