Hell yeah, once she is gone every thing unless you just really need to keep it (like the washer & dryer) goes. And you buy new stuff together. Of course when you can afford it.

My fiance wore a cross necklace his ex-wife gave him for the first two years of our relationship. He stated he just liked the necklace and since he picked it out anyway he didn't really want to stop wearing it. It didn't really bother me but I did want to give him something he'd like just as much and would want to wear it everyday, something to symbolize our new relationship.

Turns out his ex-wife had a matching necklace (I didn't know this until recently, but it wasn't significant to him). She gave it to their oldest daughter, so I suggested that he give his necklace to his younger daughter. He did, and now I have the opportunity to replace the necklace with something else.

Maybe it's just a habit now? I know I'd feel naked without my necklace that I wear everyday, even though it's a gift from a family member I don't much like.

I wouldn't get too upset about it. He's with you now.

She's contained in the evaluating degree, that takes position. She's taking under consideration the total lot he did for her that you do not do and visa versa. you likely want to be immediately ahead and ask her what the aspects of their courting is that she misses? did he provide her extra interest, is he nicer, etc.

I don't think so. It's just a necklace. They are ex's for a reason, unless she is the one who left him, he just likes he necklace. If she is the one who left him and it makes you uncomfortable, say something to him.

No, because it may have special meaning for him. Maybe it's something he wanted for a long time and she got it for him as a gift. Do you erase all things special to you because you are seeing someone new?You shouldn't have to give up who you are inside to be in a relationship.

Absolutely! If a relationship is truly over - he shouldn't want or need any reminders. If it is valuable - he should have it remade into a new one by a jeweler. Maybe you could do it for him as a gift?

I agree with one or two of the other answers....buy him one just like it to replace the one she bought him. If he still won't take it off...then I would believe that he was holding onto it for reasons that weren't fair to you.
