My son is 8 months old, around the time that he was 6 months old, he would start screaming in his sellp, around that time he had bhroncialitis, so the doctors thought that the screaming was due to lack of oxygen to the brain, and it was just kasyes way to get the oxygen back, but now he is 8 months old and he will litterly wake up screaming for like 3 minutes, without stopping. THis morning he did it 3 times 3 hours apart. Im just wondering if any one has gone thru this or is it jus kasey. My sisters have never seena child do this beforeso im wondering if i should take him in to the doctor to get checked out or something like that...

hi my son is 6 months old, he just got over a bout of bronchialitis, while he was sick he did the same thing he would wake up screaming, like he had a really bad dream, it scared me, because i had never gone through this with my older son who is now 4, but once he got over being sick the screaming stopped, he still doesn't sleep through the night, but i think the screaming had more to do with trouble breathing then anything else

It could night terrors, my son did the same thing. If this continues though into the toddler years you might want to keep a closer eye on him in bed, because my son would get up screaming and it seemed almost impossible to calm him down and then after that he would start crying too. He began having seizures and had one when he was 3 and one when he was almost 5 but that has been it..no more. Just kind of keep close watch on him as this progresses. I'm not sure what it is, but you may only be dealing with night terrors although he seems a bit young to already be having them already. If in doubt ask a doctor.

Your baby has maybe something else due to acidity coming up after eating and even many hours after that when baby is lying acidity comes along his oesophagus and this can go to his nose...the oesophagus and trhoat can be irritated by acidity and be painfull...Some babies spit milk after eating and we see it some others don't we do not see them spitting milk or food because this food go to the nose and lungs (milk or any food goes there)what often cause bronchialitis or bronchitis ...
Those babies have other symptomes like the nose that always seem to be full and give us the impression they cannot breath properly

do not hesitate to tell me if doctor diagnoses this the treatment is easy PREPULSID and Gaviscon here in EUROPE

Night terrors are completely naturally. My little sister has them too. It often seems as though you can't wake the child up or rouse them no matter what you do. I don't know if they perscribe medicine for it but the best thing ti do is simply keep them close and comfort them. The night terrors should go away eventually, though it could take a very long time.

sounds like night terrors, my son started getting them at 9 months and still gets them (now 2). they are dreaming but they are in the period between sleep and awake. they don't know that they are screaming. My son will start screaming about 30-45 min after he falls asleep. The best thing to do is go ahead and take him to the pediatric and see what the best course of action they want you to take with it. since i know when my son will start his night terrors i have to wake him up just enough to rouse him, but to wear he'll go right back to sleep.

My daughter is 8 months old and had started to do this as well, I had asked the family doctor about this and it is perfectly normal. As long as they can get back to sleep on their own, let them grow out of it. As bad as it may be not to go in there and get them, it is better that it gets out of their system now than having to continue doing it when they get older. That is the advice I got, hope it works for you too.

Birds can sense earthquakes that are very, very moderate that we are able to not sense. I continually leave the back area of my fowl cages lined so as that they have got a gloomy position to nap and sleep and at evening an nighttime mild so if something scares them they could orient themselves. This works truly nicely. some birds are extra hyper/jumpy by using nature. I have one or maybe tho he's sweet, he starts very certainly and is completely startled by using any element.

this happened to both of my kids - very scary, but they grew out of it at about 2yrs - my son went on to replace it with sleep walking ;) - he'd get out of bed and appear as tho he knew what he was doing with no recollection the next day

about all you can do is hold him and wait for him to fall back asleep - don't try to wake him up is what we were told....
