I have 3 boys ages 13, 7 and 4. Now that it is summer we have faced this same problem. I have found that I just physically wear them out! We go swimming every day. We take advantage of the all the cheap or free stuff offered around town. The library has a show every friday we go to, the theater has a kids dollar movie a couple times a week. The zoo is not real expensive and if the kids run around ppl don't look at you "bad", I will feed them lunch at home then take them to MacDonalds or DQ buy them an ice cream and let them play on the play ground (I bring a book and let them stay as long as they want). At home they have their legos, crayons, dinosaurs and Imaginex toys. We also try to meet with friends to do alot of the things I mentioned above.

When you find out, let me know!!!

I have a 6 year old male cousin who, I personally think, has ADD

He can sit and watch a movie, but he has to be colouring and talking all at the same time...

Take them to the park, or overstimulate them by taking them to a child friendly museum or science centre... A lot of places in Toronto have these things and they are fabulous ways to tucker out a young child!

Mainly, good luck!

As for my daughter I keep her busy by making her do small household cores like fetching a bottle of water from fridge, and telling her to put her notebooks neatly or making her bring small things for me that way she thinks that she is important for me and she is also a responsible member of the family.
