I know most will deny it, or call my judgement broad, but come on, all the democrats want to do is get out of Iraq and say, "Bush lied" while they were saying the same the Bush said of WMD from 1998-2002. I guess Bush manipulated intelligence even during the Clinton administration.

They are afraid they might be added to some hitlist of people to be nuked.

Lets just be glad we had the president we had during 9/11 and not Gore. If that had happened, we might have gone over to Iraq to solve the global warming problem over there.

Perhaps it is the belief, misguided or not, that tolerance and inclusion is a better path to peace and prosperity than is a policy of walls and guns. I think your premise is valid: most liberals would rather hug someone than shoot them -- I'm not convinced that's a bad thing.

On whether Bush played fast and loose with the intelligence leading up to the invasion of Iraq, I'm going to reserve judgment until Colin Powell publishes his updated memoirs. I think the man that represented the administration to the U.N. and the world may have the best take on that. My guess though, he's going to have a few regrets and probably some feelings of betrayal.

Not all Democrats want to get out of Iraq. Now that we've been lied to and are there, I think we should finish it.

Now a question back.

Why do all Extreme Right Conservatives deny the fact that the real war was in Afghanistan and this "War on Terror" has taken a turn for the worse since Bush drug us into Iraq?

This is a myth promoted by a conservative base that seeks to categorize any dissent with their own view as unpatriotic. It’s a simpleton’s view of politics and the world. Besides, one could say that Bush and his conservative right wing base is more unpatriotic because they send boys to go fight and die for frivolous causes. Couldn’t we reverse the scenario and state that Bush is for the death of real soldiers, because he never could be one and that is why he hid out in the national guard defending our nation from pernicious sharks and evil birds that flew into our air space.

Furthermore, there is no disagreement from most sensible liberals that Iraq was planning for the development of weapons of mass destruction. However, the issue is whether the level of WMDs warranted an all out assault on a country. Notice Clinton’s missile offensive against Iraq resulted in zero casualties on our side. Nothing could be more patriotic than keeping our boys alive, and only committing them to a sacrifice when it was absolutely necessary.

Bush protecting the Homeland! First calling America the Homeland strikes me a something out of Nazi Germany. And before you jump on me about that comment, I've studied WWII history all my life, so I do know what I'm talking about. As for protecting our COUNTRY lets consider a few things: Only 5% of the cargo in containers coming into the ports is checked, all of the cargo on airplanes goes unchecked, our borders are porous. And our constitutional rights are being trampled. Am I safer or freer. I think not. Do I feel more protected ......nope.

Its not a matter of what party they are supporting, the problem is that everyone suffers from the human condition.

There are those who will fight and die for what they believe in, thrown in sharp contrast to those who dont like to finish things, or do things that become uncomfortable.

There are whiners and there are fighters. Both parties are capable of both, depending on what the issue is.

The problem with Iraq is that most people supported the war in the beginning, because 911 was so bright in our memories, but as time progressed and the outcome became harder to achieve people started bitching and moaning.

When it comes down to it, some times its better to see a difficult situation through for the sake of the people you're fighting to free, then to high tail it out of there because pointing fingers is easier.

ego is to be discontented. thats its nature.

I'm interested to see how conservatives are "protecting the homeland". Amnesty for illegals? Turning Iraq into a terrorist breeding ground? Taking their "eye off the ball" (bin Laden)? Failing to secure worldwide nuclear arsenals (more nuclear storage facilities are considered "unsecure" than when that liberal Clinton was president)? Failing to improve port security?

Well at least they still take my lighters when I board a plane. Heaven forbid I should be allowed to light a cigarette on a 6 hour layover...

This is a question the asker seems to already know the answer to, but if honestly considering other points-of-view, one might argue that liberals are concered with the bodybags, not just of americans, but of Iraqi civilians (not our enemy) and would like this country to take care of itself. If you don't think the pres has ever lied, you are ignorant. The problem comes that Republican citezens think this whole thing is an us vs. you thing and it isn't. question your administration to keep it honest, as even hardcore liberals did with Clinton and Dem leadership.

First, to Kevin C, why do all whacko lefties refuse to acknowledge that Saddam Hussein was complicit with al Qaeda in their attacks on the United States. He has supported them in many endeavors as we have discovered through documents linked to Zarqawi and other victims of the US military ... BOOYA, up next, bin Laden and Zawahiri.

OK, I'll bite.. Ummmm, because they know that in order to win in Iraq you have to win the hearts and minds of the people their. When a soldier rapes a woman and kills her family, other Iraqi's will turn suit and retaliate. Maybe our soldiers should be giving every Iraqi civilian a hug instead of shooting at them, then they will have nothing to retaliate for..

Why do you make lying statements and broad generalizations with every question you ask? Are you just a brainless ape? Because I've yet to see you do anything that resembles an original thought? And note, that just because I put question marks after everything, that doesn't make them questions? Assanine questions with question marks after them still make you look like nothing more than a bitter, nasty, asshole?
