Well, I was born in England so you know who I was cheering for at the beginning of the cup. But between France and Italy, I'd have to take France all the way.
I know Italy has the greatest defense of the cup and the only team to score on them was themselves (own goal vs. U.S.). Sure as Mike Ditka will tell you defense wins championships, but just once I hope a team gets rewarded for playing "the beautiful game" beautifully, and no one has played more beautifully in this world cup than France.
Besides I'd like to see Zinedine Zidane retire on top.

Of my original selection y only the team of Italy is left
to play the Final Game against France. Considering the way Zidane iHenry, Vieira Ribery and coplayers are
performing we will probably have a French CHAMPION MO NDIAL in W. C 2006

I was rooting for Portugal because they beat England since I despise England, but now I'm rooting for Italy. Italy will win.
